Lacey Township High School will present its spring musical, Me and My Girl, on April 11-13 at 7pm and April 14 at 2pm in the LTHS Auditorium. The spring musical is the final annual production of the school's Drama Club and brings together students and faculty from across the arts departments at the high school.
Me and My Girl with book and lyrics by L. Arthur Rose and Douglas Furber, book revised by Stephen Fry, with contributions by Mike Ockrent, and music by Noel Gay, is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. The show follows the story of Bill Snibson who learns that he is heir to the title of Earl of Hareford. However, Bill's cockney roots - and girlfriend - must be forgotten if he is to claim the inheritance. The musical is directed by choir teacher Mr. Michael Olender. Tickets go on sale March 18. Prices are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for senior citizens and Lacey students and can be purchased at the door or through the online reservation page at http://lthsdrama.booktix.com. Seating is general admission with VIP seats reserved in the first three rows.
LTHS Drama Club produces two shows each school year in conjunction with the school curriculum of theatre classes, and charter as Thespian Troupe #8045, a member of the New Jersey chapter of the International Thespian Society, a division of the Educational Theatre Association. The Theatre & Drama program is part of the larger Performing Arts Department at LTHS that includes programs in band, choir, guitar, music technology, and theatre.
