This gleefully gruesome musical is a cult classic, with a lineup of energetic songs and an assortment of zany characters, this show will delight anyone with a taste for the unusual!
Down-and-out, skid row floral assistant Seymour becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood! Seymour, infatuated with his co-worker Audrey (who insists upon dating a sadistic dentist) allows his craving for fame and fortune to seduce him into playing nursemaid to the man-eating plant. Naming the plant after his secret love, soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him his hearts desires...

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time. This affectionate spoof, based on the campy Roger Corman 1960 flick, has become a house-hold name. Thanks to a highly successful 1986 film version starring Rick Moranis and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who redefined the animated musical film with Disney's "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty And The Beast" and "Aladdin." Their songs straddle the line between joy and satire. Musically they invoke recognizable styles ('50s doo-wop, saccharine Broadway love song), but the pointed, comical lyrics constantly collide with the music's sensibilities and the contrast produces continuously entertaining results.
