Stars from Broadway, TV and beyond will return to their roots - the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven, New Jersey - on August 31st to perform in a special show celebrating the 60th Anniversary of "Broadway at the Beach."
The Surflight Theater Main Stage will come alive with music and memories in STEPS IN TIME: The Story Of Surflight. This very special show, conceived, staged, performed and produced entirely by Surflight's finest, will tell the remarkable story of one of the longest-running theatres in the country. From that first season in a tent by the beach to the year-round offerings of today, the story of Surflight is the stuff of dreams come true, and an evening not to be missed.
This exclusive performance will feature an original script and music material, along with a live orchestra on stage. Rare images and historic video footage of the Surflight Theater, memorable people and unforgettable performances will be part of the show, as well as exclusive video interviews with former staff, actors and long-time supporters of the theater.
This one-time only performance on the Surflight Theater's Main Stage will feature recent and veteran alumni... those expected to appear are
Richard Kind (DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, SLY FOW, and THE PRODUCERS as well as the ABC hit show SPIN CITY)
James Brennan (42ND STREET, ME AND MY GIRL)
