Deitch has performed in the Original Broadway Casts of Wicked and Footloose, and recently guest starred on "American Horror Story: Freak Show" playing Ethel Darling, the younger version of Kathy Bates' character. James is an award-winning vocalist, theatre performer, voiceover artist and radio personality; she currently serves as the Program Director of Sirius XM Radio's On Broadway and Metropolitan Radio stations and hosts "Broadway Names with Julie James." Lyons is currently starring in Beautiful: the Carole King Musical on Broadway, and he also starred in the Original Broadway Cast of The Book of Mormon. He is half the composing team of Lyons & Pakchar. Mendez was in the Original Broadway Cast of Chaplin, and Thomas has graced mutliple Broadway stages in The Secret Garden, Xanadu, and Wicked.
Concert tickets range from $50 for general admission to $125 for premier reserved seating and VIP After Party with Broadway talent that includes a dessert social and open bar. A tricky tray and live auction will also be available featuring signature Broadway themed prize packages.
This family-friendly concert benefits "Retreat to Broadway," a non-profit project that pairs innovative programming with live theater. Our program categories (Educational, Professional, Social & Spiritual) provide unique experiences of inspiration, renewal, and transformation for any audience of any size, age, or location. All event proceeds will benefit future Retreat to Broadway programming, as well as their scholarship program that assists retreat participants who experience financial hardship.
"I could not be more thrilled for these six amazing talents to join our 2nd annual holiday benefit concert," said Brian Reavey, director and founder of Retreat to Broadway. "Our non-profit organization launched publicly about one year ago, serving more than 350 people via 12 events and programs in the past 13 months, so it's an especially exciting time and incredible opportunity to bring people together around the holidays to support ongoing experiences of live theater and personal renewal."
