Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University has a great line up of events for everyone in the family to enjoy this July.

School may be out, but Liberty Hall Museum makes learning fun with A Child's View of History. In this unique tour, children and their parents will view the Museum through the eyes of its youngest former occupants - the children who inhabited Liberty Hall over the past 250 years. History has never been so "hands-on," with each room featuring a variety of artifacts that young visitors are encouraged to touch. The tour ends with kids experiencing farm chores, playing colonial games and enjoying light refreshments. Recommended for ages 5 - 12. Tours take place every Tuesday in July at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is $10.00 per child; $8.00 per adult. Reservations are required.

A highlight of July's calendar of events is the popular Uncork History series. Check out Uncork History: Foreign Connections on Wednesday, July 25 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Spend a summer evening with a VIP tour of the Museum, learning about all of the different foreign connections the Kean family had - from visiting with the Marquis de Lafayette to Polish royalty. Afterwards, relax in our historic gardens with wine and finger foods. It's perfect for a summer date night or a night with friends. Must be 21 years or older to attend. Admission is $25.00 per person, and $20.00 for Liberty Hall Museum members and Kean alumni. Reservations are required by Thursday, July 19. The Uncork History series is sponsored by NJ Life & Casualty.

Before its departure in the fall, make sure to check out the popular World War I exhibit, Brothers in Arms: Memories of the Great War. The exhibit looks at the service of Captain John Kean and his brother Congressman Robert W. Kean in World War I. Visitors will walk in their footsteps as they head to basic training in 1917, to the front lines of Europe in 1917-18, and return home in 1919. Tours take place Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., leaving every hour on the hour. Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for Kean alumni; $8 for seniors and children (3-17 years old); and free for children under three, Kean students/faculty and Liberty Hall Museum members. It is suggested to call before visiting to ensure tour availability.

Tickets for all of Liberty Hall Museum's events can be purchased online at www.kean.edu/libertyhall/events or by calling (908) 527-0400.
