Celebrating the culmination of its fifth season, the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) toasts special honorees, supporters, and community leaders as part of its annual Spring Gala. Bookended by pre- and post- receptions, this one-night only bash features performances by the ebullient group, THE MIDTOWN MEN - four stars from the Original Cast of Broadway's mega-hit musical Jersey Boys.

As part of SOPAC's annual tradition, the Gala evening kicks off with a salute to four special honorees: Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., Essex County Executive; Anthony Leitner, Chair of the SOPAC Board of Governors; Nicholas Santoro, retired Director of Fine Arts for the South Orange/Maplewood School District; and the 2011 Felsman Spirit Award recipient Patrick Morrissy, Executive Director of HANDS (Housing and Neighborhood Development Services, Inc.). "Our Spring Gala gives us an opportunity to applaud a few of our outstanding neighbors and supporters," says Michael Bollinger, Executive Director of SOPAC. "SOPAC is humbled and inspired by these honorees' enthusiasm, support, and dedication to the community. We toast to them!"

The festivities escalate with the jump-to-your-feet show by THE MIDTOWN MEN - Tony Award Winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer. The group belts out top hits from a who's who of the ‘60s including The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Temptations, The Jackson 5, and The Four Seasons, whose story they brought to life every night as stars in the original cast of Jersey Boys. "The 60s produced some of the greatest songs ever written," says THE MIDTOWN MEN'S Christian Hoff, who won the Tony Award for his portrayal of Four Seasons bad boy Tommy DeVito. "So, we're having a ball adding our own style to those great songs everyone loves."
