The Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine Street in Hammonton, NJ, will continue its run of the musical comedy Urinetown, from June 13 through June 29.

Urinetown, despite its low-brow title, is an incredibly smart and entertaining musical, parodying politics, social irresponsibility, and revolution, and even poking fun at such blockbuster musicals as Les Miserables and Fiddler on the Roof. A relatively recent musical, Urinetown opened on Broadway in late 2001, where it garnered critical acclaim (including three Tony Awards) during its nearly 1,000 performance run.

This production of Urinetown: The Musical features some of the finest acting, instrumental and vocal talent in the Tri-State region, including John Jackowski of Cherry Hill, NJ; Samantha Morrone of Philadelphia, PA; Paul Weagraff of Wilmington, DE; and Craig Hutchings of Collingswood, NJ. Drawing on satire, slapstick comedy, and featuring a captivating score, Urinetown is sure to delight audiences throughout the region.

Opening weekend of Urinetown marked the opening of the Eagle Theatre's new Wine Lounge. In a partnership that is the first of its kind in the state of New Jersey, Sharrott Winery will sell splits of their wines at the Eagle Theatre. Patrons of legal drinking age will be able to purchase wine before curtain as well as during intermission, and bring their wine glasses into the theatre during the performance.

Urinetown: The Musical is directed by Ed Corsi, and will run at the Eagle Theatre at 8pm on June 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29; and 3pm on June 16 and 23. Tickets are $25 for General Admission, and $30 for Front Rows, and can be purchased at www.TheEagleTheatre.com. For more information, contact the box office at (609) 704-5012.
