The 1st Official New Jersey Fringe Festival will take place in Downtown Hammonton from August 5th - August 7th.
Access to the outdoor festival area is free and open to the public. Street performers, musicians, interactive art experiences, food vendors and a craft beer and wine garden will line the streets.
The festival will also feature 15 specialty theatrical performances, all held inside venues within walking distance of the festival's hub, Eagle Theatre. Performances are performed multiple times throughout the day. Selections range from small musicals, cutting edge original work, one-man/one-woman shows, puppetry, and experiential storytelling. Festivalgoers can purchase wristbands for specialty theatrical performances in advance or at the festival.
Eagle Theatre's Innovations Factory (IF), a core of theming artists dedicated to experiential storytelling, will debut NOIR: The Semi-Cinematic 3D4D Satirical Thriller.
NOIR offers a tantalizing glimpse into a day in the life of America's worst private detective, Jack Sloan. Filled with dames, booze, and theatrical tricks of the trade, NOIR breaks down all barriers and paints a new mug on the face of mixed media.
Ted Wioncek III states "Our IFologists are inquisitive individuals who work together to form an assembly line of endless possibility. We found ourselves asking "What If?" What if this inquisitive nature was embodied by a collective of artists with various skills, coming together for a common goal; to push the medium forward." It was out of this question that IF was born."
Hammonton has strategically partnered with local businesses to provide a unique social experience, set in an award-winning Downtown destination.
The New Jersey Fringe Festival is produced by Eagle Theatre and sponsored by 1 Trick Pony, Stockton University - Kramer Hall, The Noyes Museum of Art, Spellcaster Productions, The mART, GrandAire Booking and Kramer Beverage.
