The Eagle Theatre's production of David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize Winning, satirical black comedy, Glengarry Glen Ross opens April 25 and runs through May 17.
The production stars Tom McCarthy. McCarthy is a Barrymore Award Winner, Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, and served as the President of the Screen Actors Guild (Philadelphia/Delaware Chapter) for over 20 years.
The fast-paced, 90 minute play, known for its no-holds-barred humor and artful use of expletives, has been a topic of debate since its premiere in 1983.
"David Mamet is one of the most acclaimed and eclectic writers of our time. Sharing a wicked laugh at the dark side the American Dream is undoubtedly a modern concept. Enter at your own risk." says Ted Wioncek III, Co-Artistic Director of The Eagle Theatre.
Despite the controversial nature of the play, Co-Artistic Director, Ed Corsi proclaims "If you enjoy Wolf of Wall Street, Reservoir Dogs, and House of Cards, this is the play for you."
Talk Back Sessions will be held directly following performances on May 1 and May 8. Sessions feature the director and cast fielding questions and comments from audience members regarding the presented material.
