Eagle Theatre Announces Continuation of Stand Up Comedy Series Image

Eagle Theatre continues their fifth year of presenting Stand-Up Comedy with their next installment on August 18th at 7:00PM & 9:30PM.

Since 2013, Eagle Theatre's Stand-Up Comedy Series host, Kevin Hurley, has provided Hammonton with a diverse range of comedians, specializing in a variety of eclectic styles; one-liners, prop-comedy, and ventriloquists. The August 18th lineup will feature an established Headliner, A Featured Act, and our Headliner Hurley.

Marina Franklin (Headliner) is a veteran comedian, actor, writer, and host whose long tenure as a stand-up standout at premier comedy venues and festivals around the world - alongside her memorable TV and film appearances, and critically acclaimed podcast - have made her a fan favorite and in-demand creative force.

The Chicago native's onscreen credits include HBO's "Crashing"; the hit movie, "Trainwreck"; Stephen Colbert's Late Show; the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore; Conan O'Brien; "Louie" Season V; the Jim Gaffigan Show; Showtime's "Women Who Kill"; and Comedy Central's "Chappelle's Show". Marina's writing credits include HBO's "Divorce."

A viciously likable person - if there is such a thing - Marina is a University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and Syracuse University graduate. She resides in New York City and loves dancing, house music, and working on her sweet right hook.

Eagle Theatre Producing Director Ed Corsi states, "I had the opportunity to see Marina at a comedy club in Florida on vacation last year. When Kevin (Hurley) told us she'd be coming to The Eagle, I made it a point to clear my schedule for this night. She's hysterical, a true master on that stage."

Eagle Theatre's on-site Sharrott Wine Lounge will open 45 minutes prior to the performance and remain accessible throughout the performance. Tickets for the evening are $25 for the 7pm and just $15 for the 9:30pm show (thanks to a generous sponsor). They are available at www.eagletheatre.org or by calling 609-704-5012.
