In a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, Gunner has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his family's future but meets with resistance from his wife and son, who have plans of their own. As winter approaches, the three must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding before the tide goes out. This drama hums with dark humor and powerful emotion. When the play ran Off-Broadway in 2012, The New York Times said, "...this drama brings sensitive observation and minor-key humor to painful situations that many of us will recognize from our own families...its poignant conclusion will have resonance for many in the audience."
The production is directed by Jack Tamburri (Maplewood) and features Dreamcatcher ensemble members Noreen Farley (Clinton) and David Miceli (Little Falls). Also featured is Roger Rathburn (Montclair), whose career has spanned Broadway, film and television as well as regional theatre. Playwright Bruce Graham is a Philadelphia-based writer known for works including "Any Given Monday," "Coyote on a Fence" and "Stella and Lou." Graham's works have been performed all over the country and in Europe, and have been nominated for and won honors such as the Drama Desk and Barrymore Awards.
