Curtain Up Productions & Downtown Performing Arts Center to Host New Year's Eve Gala

Ring in the New Year with Curtain Up Productions and the Downtown Performing Arts Center. A New Year's Eve Gala has been set for Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 8 pm to 1 am at the Event Center by Cornerstone at the Eagle Fire Company, 46 N. Sugan Rd., New Hope, PA. Curtain Up Productions is a 501(c)(3) organization and all proceeds will benefit Curtain Up Productions and their efforts to create a permanent, indoor theater in Hunterdon County, NJ. Tickets are $75 per person and $500 for a table of 8.

The evening will include music and dancing as well as a cabaret show featuring performers from the Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre including Louis Palena, Jill Palena, Michael Moeller, Anna Hentz, Shelly and David Tapp and many more. Music will be provided by members of the Montclair, NJ based band, Rainbow Fresh. Rainbow Fresh has performed in numerous regional venues including the Triumph Brewery in New Hope, PA and Princeton, NJ.

A silent auction will be held during the event featuring items from local vendors and Broadway shows. Among the auction items are high end baskets and gift certificates from area businesses such as Zanya Spa in Lambertville and Anton's at the Swan Restaurant and Broadway items including signed playbills from "Les Miserables," "Honeymoon in Vegas" and "Kinky Boots" and 2 tickets and a backstage tour of the New York production of "Avenue Q." Food and drinks are included in the price of admission. Specialty food and desserts will be created by area chef, Anya Madding and Jen McClellan.

Curtain Up Productions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to create a permanent, indoor theater. The production company, along with the Downtown Performing Arts Center of Lambertville, NJ, has produced annual summer theatrical productions at Titusville, NJ's Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre for 5 years. Both organizations have the mutual goal of creating a theater in Hunterdon County, NJ. Along with a year round schedule of mainstage musicals and plays, a major component within the organization's plan is arts education and training for students and ongoing children's theatre productions.

The Curtain Up Productions-Downtown Performing Arts Center New Year's Eve Gala will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at the Event Center by Cornerstone at the Eagle Fire Company from 8 pm until 1 am. The event center is located at 46 N. Sugan Road in New Hope, PA. Tickets are $75 per person and a table of 8 is $500 with all proceeds designated to support the organization's goal to create a permanent theater in Hunterdon County, NJ.
