The Spring 2022 Festival of shows will feature performances of The Robber Bridegroom and Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? From Pulitzer Prize winning author of Driving Miss Daisy!, Alfred Uhry, and a score by Robert Waldman, The Robber Bridegroom is set in eighteenth-century Mississippi and follows Jamie Lockhart, a robber of the woods, as he courts Rosamund, the only daughter of the richest planter in the country. The proceedings go awry, however, thanks to a case of double-mistaken identity.
Focusing on eight children during their Catholic elementary and high school education in the 1950s, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? captures the antics of youthful growing pains and the trying moments of adolescence.
