Alfie Boe

Singer-actor Alfie Boe, who won a joint Tony Award for his work in the Broadway revival of La Bohème, will be performing at Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey on January 31, 2012.

This rare area performance by Alfie Boe will feature material from his second album "Alfie" as well as selections from his debut recording "Bring Him Home,"

which was released earlier this year. "Bring Him Home" is a collection of timeless pop songs and musical theatre favorites from such classics as Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, West Side Story and Les Miserables, to name a few," according to press notes.

The recent self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Classical Crossover Chart and features special guests Robert Plant and Nick Jonas.

Boe, who was seen on Broadway as Rodolfo in Baz Luhrmann's La Bohème, played the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables at The Queens Theatre in London and was also seen in Cameron Mackintosh's 25th Anniversary celebration of the show at London's 02 Arena. He is a regular performer with London's English National Opera, where he has played Nadir in The Pearl Fishers, and was seen at the Royal Opera House in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette.

COMEDIAN BRIAN REGAN

Critics and peers agree: Brian Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country. The perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, Brian fills theaters nationwide with fervent fans that span generations.

With the release of his two critically acclaimed one-hour Comedy Central specials and DVDs -- 2008's "The Epitome of Hyperbole" and 2007's "Brian Regan Standing Up" -- Brian set a standard of excellence that others continually try to follow.

With his first appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 1995, Brian solidified his place on the show and has since made more than 20 appearances. He also includes regular visits with Conan O'Brien on his schedule.

His performances are relatively "clean" as he refrains from profanity and off-color humor. Regan's material typically covers everyday events, such as shipping a package with UPS and a visit to an optometrist. Regan makes frequent references to childhood, including little league baseball, grade school spelling bees, and science projects. His clean, off-center humor has been praised by critics and contemporaries alike and Regan enjoys a fan base that crosses young taste makers to middle-aged adults; he is respected in the comedy community for being a "universal comic," his work has been applauded by such diverse sources as Comedy Central, Slate, The Onion and The Wall Street

A dorm room favorite, Brian's 1997 CD, "Brian Regan Live," has sold over 150,000 copies and consistently charts in iTunes Top Comedy Albums. His 2000 "Comedy Central Presents" special continues to be a top viewer choice. Brian's independently released 2004 DVD, "I Walked on the Moon," is available at Brian's website.

Brian Regan: The Epitome of Hyperbole is available for digital download on Xbox, Zune, iTunes and Amazon.
