New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is proud to present Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.

The hugely popular musical production based on the 1999 cult classic film, Cruel Intentions. Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical features favorite throwback hit songs by artists like Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, REM, *NSYNC, and, of course, Britney Spears. NYC's most intoxicating new musical comes to NJPAC for a full-on '90s party. It's the movie you love, set to the songs you know, performed live...and missing out might just ruin your reputation. Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical pulls the audience into the manipulative world of Manhattan's most dangerous liaisons. Seduced by revenge and fueled by passion, diabolically charming step-siblings Sebastian Valmont and Kathryn Merteuil place a bet on whether or not Sebastian can deflower Annette Hargrove, their incoming headmaster's daughter. As the two set out to destroy the innocent girl - and anyone who gets in their way - they find themselves entangled in a web of secrets, temptation and the cruelest game of all: love.

Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical is Choreographed by Bessie Award Nominated Choreographer Jen Weber. Weber is the co-creator, director and choreographer of the international touring hit, Hip Hop Nutcracker as well as the Creative Director for Lifetime's Bring It Live! national tour. She's choreographed and directed countless performances for prestigious institutions including NJPAC, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and The Apollo Theater as well as high profile commercial work with brands including American Express, L'Oreal and Reebok.

About Jennifer Weber
Jennifer Weber is a Lucille Lortel and Bessie Award nominated choreographer splitting her time between New York, Los Angeles and London. She is the co-creator, director and choreographer of the international touring hit, The Hip Hop Nutcracker featuring rap legend Kurtis Blow. Her concert dance work has been performed at Jacob's Pillow, The Apollo, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, London's Southbank Center, and The Stanislavsky Music Theatre, Moscow.

Weber's theatre choreography credits include KPOP (Ars Nova/Lortel Nom), Teenage Dick (The Public) Cruel Intentions (LPR/2019 National Tour), Stockholm (Stageworks Hudson/US Premier), PBS's Odd Squad Live! (National Tour). Commercial direction/choreography: Marc Jacobs, CK2, American Express, Uber, Ulta, L'Oreal, Reebok, and Philosophy. Weber is also the creative director of Lifetime's Bring It Live! national tour.

In 2018, Weber was commissioned by New York City Center to create a contemporary interpretation of Stravinsky's Petrushka, for New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck and hip-hop legend, Lil Buck. It premiered at the 2018 Fall For Dance Festival.
Weber holds a BA in Communications (Cum Laude) from the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of Lincoln Center Director's Lab and SDC.
