Monmouth County native Theresa Fowler Pittius is no stranger to the spotlight, as she has been professionally performing most of her life. An original cast member of Cameron Mackintosh's highly acclaimed, international Broadway touring production of OLIVER!, numerous Broadway-based projects, Off-Broadway shows and Regional productions, Pittius has endeavored to give back to the community that aided her to trod the boards of The Great White Way and beyond.

This April 22nd, Pittius - along with a carefully chosen faculty of professional performing arts educators - will launch Red Bank Performance Prep ("The Prep") as an educational division of long-time downtown Red Bank events and entertainment company, Flipping Fun.

"I have been bringing my Broadway friends down to the Jersey Shore for the past few years, giving local Monmouth County students the opportunity to train with true professionals, and it has been an incredible success! Red Bank Performance Prep will offer this 'cool little town' something it has yet to experience: a conservatory-style professional track training program for all ages. 'The Prep' seeks to train performers to become true industry professionals, encouraging them to 'leave the nest' and get real jobs within the tv, film and theater industry. I train each of my students to become the very best performers possible. The Prep's motto is 'Your Success is Our Success'," enthusEd Pittius.

Along with Pittius' notable vocal training, Audition Prep, Broadway Master Class Series and Triple Threat classes, Red Bank Performance Prep's full time faculty will include Broadway trained and University of North Carolina at Charlotte graduate, Jessi Clayton - adding to the vocal education team, music theory and piano instruction - and Thomas Ryan Ward, recent NJ transplant and Off-Broadway director, producer, playwright, and actor - who will be focused on acting classes for stage and film, Shakespeare, audition prep, group writing courses, and an award-winning concept he has been nationally developing for 10 years called, "Let's Put On A Show!"

"If there is one thing I've learned, working amongst artists of all ages and career levels...no one is merely 'an actor', 'a singer', etc. Since I was a boy, I wanted to know how the sets were built, how to focus the lights, fine-tune the blocking, and more. That's what 'Let's Put On A Show' offers students a chance to be behind the scenes, in the spotlight, and everything in between. It truly empowers performers on so many levels, and I can't wait to see what our classes produce," shared Ward.

Red Bank Performance Prep will be offering courses and productions throughout the year and in multiple locations outside of its Red Bank HQ, Flipping Fun, at 23 East Front Street. Owners, Matt Selton and MerEdith Barrett, offered why 'The Prep' is necessary and timely for Red Bank and the greater Monmouth County area.

"When we began producing karaoke and 'Paparazzi' parties at the Flipping Fun studio last year, our team of professional performers began to coach and direct those involved. Adding such highly revered and professional educators to our team is the natural evolution. Theresa and her team already have such respect and synergy... it is truly thrilling to have them become a part of the Flipping Fun family and Red Bank community," offered Barrett.

Pittius invites students of all ages to view the venue, learn more about upcoming classes and summer projects, and meet the staff on Saturday, April 22nd at 25 East Front St., Red Bank, NJ from 10am until 3pm. For more information, visit RedBankPrep.com or call (732) 784-3191.
