The talented blues man, Keb Mo, will be performing live at the Bergen Performing Arts Center on September 29 at 7 p.m. He will be performing his updated interpretation of Robert Johnson that garnered him three Grammy Awards. Tickets are $69, $49, $39, $29.
The guitarist/vocalist was exposed to gospel and blues music at a young age, Keb Mo initially started out as an R & B artist. It was when he exposed to blues musicians while on tour that he became more engulfed in the genre.
After playing Robert Johnson in a docudrama, Keb Mo gained a very big interest of the musician. He released a self-entitled album in 1994 with two Robert Johnson covers. His next album included a few more inspired selections. The slight change was beneficial because he won two Grammy Awards for that album.
Keb Mo released several albums throughout his career. His most recent album was a live album "Live & Mo" and was released in 2009. The gifted blues man's interpretations of Robert Johnson's delta blues are unique. There are many other interpretations that were not as warmly welcomed. This is show not to miss.
