Black Box Studios to Present THIS TIME: A NEW MUSICAL ROMANCE in Concert , 5/12-15

Black Box Studios in association with Generrus Theatreworks, presents This Time: A New Musical Romance in concert, with book, music and lyrics by musical director Huey Esquire, directed by artistic director Matt Okin. This Time will play three performances Thu, May 12th at 8pm, Sat, May 14th at 9pm, and Sun, May 15th at 7:30pm at the Black Box Performing Arts Center (200 Walraven Drive, Teaneck, NJ 07666).

A ballet dancer and a composer meet in a funky, bohemian New Orleans cafe and become best friends. Friendship turns to love, and they fall for each other, discovering not only that they have been lovers in multiple lifetimes, but also their connection with the Cafe's eccentric and mysterious owner. Love endures. Souls never die. This Time.

This Time: A Musical Romance received a developmental production at Manhattan's The Theater for the New City (TNC) in August 2015.

With Gio Andollo, Haia Bchiri, Ishmon Brown, Lana Brucker, Sam Cancelarich, Tomas Doncker, Danae Ervin, Thomas Knapp, Vikki Martin, Aaron McMillan, Nate Murphy, and Ben Shanblatt.
