About the Play
Over the River and Through the Woods tells the story of Nick, a twenty-something New York City bachelor who spends every Sunday across the river in Hoboken with his Italian-American grandparents. But that's all about to change now that he's been offered his dream job - in Seattle. His grandparents are not ready to let him go, and they embark on a scheme to keep Nick around, using their lovely neighbor Caitlin as bait - with heartwarming and hilarious results. Don't miss this endearing family comedy by Joe DiPietro, filled with love, laughter & lasagna!

Over the River and Through the Woods ran Off-Broadway from 1998 to 2000 at the John Houseman Theatre for 800 performances and has been produced all over the world. The play will be performed with the original music from the Off-Broadway run. The composer is Jimmy Roberts, who also collaborated with Joe DiPietro on I Love You You're Perfect Now Change.
