Bergen County Players to Present ENCHANTED APRIL

Bergen County Players, NJACT's 2015 Community Theatre of the Year, continues its 83rd season with Matthew Barber's Enchanted April. Directed by longtime member, Iris Weinhouse of Hillsdale, this romantic comedy will run from March 19, 2016 through April 16, 2016 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. Show times are 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays. Tickets are $21 for evening performances and $17 for matinees.

Set in the 1920's, Enchanted April takes place in a small town in Italy on the Mediterranean where four English women rent a place and try to come to grips with their lives and relationships. During their enchanted month in Italy, the ladies fall under the spell of their idyllic, sun-drenched surroundings. They rediscover laughter, learn new truths about themselves and find the romance they long for.

Enchanted April opened at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway in 2003 and was a 2003 Tony Award nominee for Best Play.

Director Iris Weinhouse of Hillsdale, is a life member of BCP. Previously, Weinhouse directed 45 Seconds From Broadway, Fools, Lovers and Other Strangers, The Bermuda Avenue Triangle and The Cocktail Hour. She has performed in many shows at BCP including To Kill a Mockingbird, Arsenic and Old Lace and The Little Foxes.

The talented cast of Enchanted April includes Ruth Morley of Ridgewood as Lotty Wilton, Earle Ziff of Englewood as Mellersh Wilton, Mariann Felice of Stony Point, NY as Rose Arnott, James Lugo of Congers, NY as Frederick Arnott, Cassie Romano of Nanuet, NY as Caroline Bramble, Alan Morley of Ridgewood as Antony Wilding, Rachel Gordon of Paramus as Mrs. Graves and Helen Boyadjian of Saddle River as Costanza. Ruth Morley previously appeared at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Bermuda Avenue Triangle, Comic Potential, The Little Dog Laughed and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Ziff made his BCP stage debut this season in Getting Away With Murder. Lugo has appeared in Getting Away with Murder, The Music Man, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Glengarry Glen Ross and Curtains. Alan Morley has appeared in Whodunnit and The Mousetrap.

Gordon is a BCP veteran who has appeared at BCP in over 25 productions including August: Osage County, Sordid Lives, Whodunnit, Bermuda Avenue Triangle and The Prisoner of Second Avenue. Boyadjian has appeared in Ruthless! The Musical, Autograph Hound, Rapunzarella White, Sordid Lives, The Story of Hansel & Gretel and Lend Me A Tenor. Felice and Romano are thrilled to be making their stage debut with the Players.

TICKET AND SCHEDULE INFORMATION
• All performances for Enchanted April take place at The Little Firehouse Theatre at 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, home to the Bergen County Players since 1949. Performances run March 19 to April 16, 2016 with show times on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm.
• Tickets for Enchanted April are $21 for Friday/Saturday performances and $17 for Sunday matinees, and can be purchased online at www.bcplayers.org, by calling 201-261-4200 or by visiting the box office at 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell during regular box office hours. Visa, Master Card, and American Express are accepted.
• BCP's popular Questions & Artists talkback session will be held following the performance on Friday, April 1, 2016. The session is included in the cost of the ticket to that performance.
• Those interested in Group Sales of 20 or more tickets can email groups@bcplayers.org or call the main number and press #6. • Row K, Seats #1 and #2 are held to accommodate people with disabilities. They can be purchased by calling the box office at 201-261-4200. These seats will be released for public sale two weeks prior to performance.
• Advance discount tickets for students age 25 and under with proper ID are available for $14 by phone or walk-up only, and student rush seats can be purchased for $5 (cash only) starting 30 minutes before curtain at every performance, pending seat availability. There is a limit of one rush ticket per student.
• Parking is free at the Park Avenue municipal lot, across the street, one-half block north of the theater.
