Bergen County Players (BCP) continues 86th season with Tennessee Williams' 1948 Pulitzer Prize winning drama, A Streetcar Named Desire.

The play is directed by Jacqueline Poquette and will run March 23 through April 13. Performances will take place at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell with curtain at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on
Sundays.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.bcplayers.org, by calling 201-261-4200 or by visiting the box office during regular box office hours. This show contains adult language and situations.

Southern belle, Blanche Dubois, having just lost her teaching job and the family home, travels to Louisiana to stay with her sister, Stella Kowalski and her brutish husband, Stanley. Blinded by her own delusions and disconnect from reality, Blanche struggles to adjust to her sister's way of living, all while tensions rise between her and her brother-in-law. Themes of vanity, fantasy, and lust abound in this American classic, for which The New York Times' 1947 review credits Williams as having created a poignant and luminous story.

A Life Member and veteran director of BCP, Jacqueline Poquette brings Tennessee Williams' classic drama to life. Her past directorial assignments reflect an array of dramas, musicals, and comedies that include Spamalot, Man of La Mancha, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and most recently the musical review Broadway Sings America.

The cast includes Kristin-Leigh Nicholson of Hillburn, NY (Blanche DuBois), Samantha Quiles of Dumont, NJ (Stella Kowalski), Aaron Newcome of Nyack, NY (Stanley), Matt Rofofsky of Fort Lee, NJ (Mitch), Cheryl Woertz of Alpine, NJ (Eunice Hubbell), Gloria Bumbaco of Dumont, NJ (Neighbor Woman/Flower Woman/Nurse), John Kiely of
Allendale, NJ (Steve Hubbell), John Gregory (Pablo Gonzales), Christian Spinella (Young Collector) and David Luke of Mahwah (Doctor).

The crew of A Streetcar Named Desire includes Jacqueline Poquette (Director), Christine Francois (Producer), Margie McDonough (Assistant Director), Michele Roth (Stage Manager), Ray Poquette (Lighting Designer), Jill Hendrickson (Lighting Operator), Joe Ercole (Sound Designer), Brian Laub (Sound Operator), Gerard Bourcier (Set Designer), Bunny Mateosian (Costume Mentor), Jen Beza (Women's Costumes), Rich Ardito (Men's Costumes), Lynne Lupfer (Décor Head), Kay Koch (Décor), Sylvia Kates (Props Head), Joanna Sigurdsson (Props), Gloria Bumbaco (Crew), David Luke (Crew), Mike Smith (Photographer), Eileen Winkler (Member at Large), Elaine Thoman (Publicity Head), Annette Jacobs (Publicity) Sandy Chiappino (Publicity), Chris Nelson (Programs) and Marci Weinstein (Biographies).
