Marsha Heller of Leonia, New Jersey will present "New Paintings by Marsha Heller" from February 6 to February 18, 2017 at The Riverside Gallery, Suite 201, located at The Shops at Riverside, Hackensack Avenue at Route 4 in Hackensack, New Jersey. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Saturday, February 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The gallery is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.

The exhibit highlights the development of her work from semi-representational depictions of landscapes and flowers towards the abstract, such as "Departure". Born into a family of artists, Ms. Heller studied at Oberlin College, Salzburg Mozarteum and the School of Visual Arts. In New York, she studied art privately and credits her painting teachers, Irving Marantz and Sam Feinstein, with influencing her work significantly.

Ms. Heller's work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Israel, and Cuba. Paintings from her Squares and More Squares series have been selected to be on display in PNC Bank's corporate collection upon the completion of their new headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Several locations in New York City have shown her work, including Ceres Gallery, Montserrat Gallery and the Citicorp Building. She was juried into the Chautauqua National Annual Show by Kim Foster of Kim Foster Gallery, NYC. In New Jersey, she has exhibited her work at many sites, including a one-woman show at Fairleigh Dickinson University and annual shows at The Riverside Gallery in Riverside Square Mall. She exhibited her series "Summer Gardens" at her brother Yaacov Heller's Gallery 22 in Boca Raton, Florida.
