CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will be the first featured speaker as northjersey.com debuts its new speaker series Dialogues at bergenPAC on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 7 p.m. This series is a partnership between North Jersey Media Group and bergenPAC. It will bring high-profile newsmakers into the community for moderated discussions on the important topics of today.
The VIP tickets include a post-show meet & greet and access to the Drapkin Cabaret lounge before the event.

Anderson Cooper is the anchor of CNN's Anderson Cooper 360°, a global newscast that goes beyond the headlines with in-depth reporting and investigations. The show airs weeknights on CNN and is simulcast to an international audience on CNN International.
Since the start of his career in 1992, Cooper has worked in more than 40 countries and covered nearly all major news events around the world, often reporting from the scene. He also played a pivotal role in CNN's political and election coverage. Cooper has anchored from conventions and moderated several presidential primary debates and town halls. In 2016, Cooper was selected by the Committee On Presidential Debates to co-moderate one of the three debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
In addition to his shows on CNN, Cooper is also a regular correspondent for CBS's 60 Minutes.
At CNN and 60 Minutes Cooper has won several major journalism awards. He helped lead CNN's Peabody Award-winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina and DuPont award winning coverage of the 2004 tsunami. Additionally, he has been awarded thirteen Emmy Awards, including two for his coverage of the earthquake in Haiti, and an Edward R Murrow award.
In 2016, The Rainbow Comes and Goes: A Mother and Son on Life, Love and Loss - a collection of correspondence between Anderson and his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, debuted at the top of the New York Times Best-Sellers List. Cooper's first book, Dispatches from the Edge: A Memoir of Wars, Disaster and Survival, was published in 2006 and topped the New York Times Best-Sellers List and other bestseller charts.
Before joining CNN, Cooper was an ABC News correspondent and host of the network's reality program The Mole. Cooper anchored ABC's overnight newscast World News Now, and was a correspondent for World News Tonight and 20/20.
Cooper joined ABC from Channel One News, where he served as chief international correspondent. During that time, he reported and produced stories, from conflicts in Bosnia, Cambodia, Haiti, Israel, Myanmar, Russia, Rwanda, Somalia and South Africa. Channel One News was a school television network seen daily in more than 12,000 classrooms nationwide.
Cooper graduated from Yale University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He also studied Vietnamese at the University of Hanoi.
