The Emanon Players of Absegami High School will be presenting the musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors on Thursday, November 1st and Friday, November 2nd at 6:30 PM and on Saturday, November 3rd at 2:00 PM. Originally based on the B-Movie horror film of the 1960s, Little Shop of Horrors is a deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical which has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Leading the cast as Seymour Krelborn is Absegami sophomore Connor Morrissey, with the role of Audrey being played by Absegami junior Sydney Mullin. Absegami seniors Billy Platt and Coby Alavez star as flower shop owner Mr. Mushnik and Audrey's demented dentist boyfriend Orin Scrivello respectively. Playing the street urchins/Greek Chorus of the piece are Mara Justine Platt, Grace Vu, Emily Deibert, Chloe Verderber and Andrea Brandt. And starring as the plant is the combination of Absegami seniors Stephen Barnard, who voices Audrey II and Johnny Keen, who is the puppet master of the plant.

Rounding out the cast of the production is Connor Cella, Mariela Cholula-Lopez, Sophie Cohen, Donovan Cruz, Michelle Delemarre, Claire Dell-Priscoli, Samantha Garofolo, Zoe Greblunas, Courtney Jones, April Kachnic, Aaliyah McKethan, John Morrison, Abigail Murphy, Andrew Ngo, Isabella Nieves, Lia Opperman, Sunrose Rousnee and Bryan Wright.

The production is under the direction of Absegami Drama teacher Chip Garrison, with musical direction by Brian Conover, choreography by Katie Taylor and technical direction by Peter Avagliano.

Absegami High School is located at 201 Wrangleboro Road in Galloway, New Jersey. Tickets for the production are available online at ahs.booktix.com and can also be purchased at the door. For more information, contact Chip Garrison at cgarrison@gehrhsd.net or visit www.absegami.net.
