The Atlantic City Ballet will once again be heading to the West Coast for a weekend of performances of Swan Lake. After a successful 2018 West Coast tour, The Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater has invited the company back after last year's sold out houses of Sleeping Beauty.
Company Founder and Artistic Director, Phyllis Papa emphasized, "This is a wonderful opportunity for the company. We are so proud to be able to represent Atlantic City as its cultural ambassadors." All 31 dancers will be making the trip and will have a packed weekend. The tour starts with a residency on Friday and then two performances on Saturday. The company will fly back Sunday but Ms. Papa will stay and hold company auditions for the 19/20 season in San Francisco. "Having these west coast auditions allows me to see a whole New Group of dancers I may not otherwise get to see in person." stated Ms. Papa. Plans to return to Napa in 2020 are also in the works and the company is hoping to expand its west coast tour next season to include more venues and dates
