On Monday, October 28, 2013 at 7 pm, Kula for Karma will be holding its 6th Annual Fundraising Gala at the Hilton Pearl River- Wine and Dine for Kula - A Kulanary Cause.
Kula for Karma, an innovative organization dedicated to integrating therapeutic yoga, meditation, and stress management into mainstream healthcare at no cost to clients, is celebrating their 6th year with more than 60 programs across the Greater Metro area.
ABC Eyewitness News Anchor, Lori Stokes, will be hosting the event and Thomas Matthews, Executive Editor, Wine Spectator, will preview wines during pre-gala event. Kula for Karma will be honoring Dr. Annalisa Pastore, a devoted Kula for Karma board member and Founder of CHI-Medicine: Center for Holistic and Integrative Medicine.
The evening will be filled with fabulous food and wine in celebration of Kula for Karma's therapeutic yoga programs. Over 30 restaurants in the region will be hosting tapas-style tasting stations, interspersed with wine pairings and an open bar. Table to Table donations will follow the event.
Participating restaurants as of 9/16 include: A Mano, Alain's Wine & Tapas, Bibi'z, Café Amici HoHoKus, Caffe Anello, Cake Boss, Capital Grille, Carousel Cakes, Cenzino Ristorante, Char, Dolphin, Chef Hunter Zampa, Esty Street, Fresh From The Farm 365, Giulios, HoHoKus Inn, Kulinary Karma, Kwan Thai, La Promenade Caterer, Masa Sushi and Grill, Oceanos, Pier 701, Quinta Steakhouse, The River Palm Terrace/Edgewater, Saddle River Inn, SD 26, The Shannon Rose, Sidewalk Bistro, Starbucks, The Stable, Stony Hill Inn, Two Henrys, Varka, Velo, and Wasabi.
Wines will be served compliments of Frederick Wildman & Sons, Ltd and the gala will feature the new Slovenia Vodka created by Chef Peter X. Kelly.
In addition to a silent auction of unique items and experiences, guests will have the opportunity to learn about and help Kula's "Fund-A-Program", highlighted in a brief video presentation about Kula's populations in need, including Combat War Veterans, Pediatric Oncology Patients, Caregivers, and Children with Learning Differences.
Because of the very generous support of local businesses, sponsors and advertisers, 80% of all funds raised at the gala will go directly to funding the Kula for Karma programs.
