A beautiful home on the bay with a fantastic view, a glass of wine or a cup of tea, and the opportunity to bid on a variety of artwork. It's all part of a fundraising event hosted by Chuck and Sandy Sieber on Sunday, May 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the nonprofit East Lynne Theater Company.

The silent auction items are twenty pieces of artwork which include original signed oil paintings on canvas and original framed and signed art such as "Female in Desert" by Salvador Dali (188/300) and "Marina Royale" by Chantal Marie of St. Maarten (160/580). Framed prints include Delacroix's blue/white cityscape with silver frame and "Piper Parade" by Jacqueline Penny.

The cost is only $20. Contact the theater for reservations either by calling 609-884-5898, or e-mailing eastlynneco@aol.com. Directions to the Sieber's home will be provided when making a reservation.

It is because of fundraising events such as this, and the generosity of many, as well as funding from grants and foundations, that make it possible for ELTC to maintain modest ticket prices and hire and house Equity professional actors, most coming from New York City, Philadelphia, and Central Jersey. Curran Investment Management, Aleathea's at The Inn of Cape May, The Henry Sawyer Inn, and The Washington Inn are Season Sponsors. La Mer Beachfront Inn and Fins Bar and Grille are Show Sponsors for 2016.

Founded in 1980, ELTC was the first Equity professional theater in the country dedicated to early American plays and new works based on American history and literature. ELTC's production of "Mr. Lincoln" runs through May 21, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and up next is the musical "Rodgers' Romance." The location is the historic First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes St., Cape May, where the company is in residence.
