New World Theatre presents an evening of three one act plays written by regional playwrights. Two Lessons At The Bus Stop by George Kelly (Concord NH) A man sits alone on a park bench waiting for a bus. A blooming flower garden is in front of him, and his past is behind him. He is half way “home”, and is beginning t o reconcile with his own mortality. Whatever you Want by Tom Z. Spencer (Manchester NH) – The story of a young man who taught himself English from one source…Shakespeare. Surprise number one: no one else speaks in verse.

George Kelly ’s (Concord NH) full length play The Boys From Lost Nation, New Hampshire, won the Gary Newton Prize, and was produced at The Player’s Ring, in Portsmouth, N.H. and later, by The Concord Community Players. His oneact play, Facing Backward was chosen to be part of The International Playwrights Festival in Torrington, Connecticut. Later, the play was entered in the CTfest competition, and went on to represent the State of Connecticut at t his year's NECTF Competition. His new play, A Time To Gather Stones, is a full length historical drama.

Tom Z. Spencer (Manchester NH) is an Eagle Scout who graduated the University of New Hampshire with a degree in English last year. He won scholarships for two plays while he was there: Uncle Zeke and the Texas Mafia , and Whatever you Want , which has been performed at UNH, in Portsmouth, NH, Dallas, Texas, and now in Concord, NH at the Hatbox Theatre.
