In WWII Seattle, a Japanese university student with a passionate belief in the US Constitution wrestles with the Government’s mass internment of people of Japanese ancestry. His struggle takes him to a better understanding of America’s triumphs and failures. Jeanne Sakata’s critically acclaimed play is inspired by the true story of US Medal of Freedom winner Gordon Hirabayashi.
