Critically acclaimed Everett Dance Theatre takes audiences on a journey into the universe’s most complex structure: the human brain, in all its mystery and beauty. With current neuroscience research as its inspiration, Brain Storm features striking physicality, poetic imagery and compelling stories. Everett combines their inventive use of sculptural set elements and video projections with humor and insight into human experiences. The work is informed by interviews with leading brain scientists, as well as a 2-year residency at a facility for brain injury. Brain Storm dramatizes what neuroscience has to tell us about our thoughts, actions and desires, and ponders what the coming neurorevolution may have in store.
