“Dancing Among The Wildflowers” is an original one-act play by David John Preece of the last hours LBJ and Lady Bird spent together at their ranch in Texas. As the stormy triumph and humiliation of LBJ’s presidency in the tumultuous Sixties recedes, Lady Bird plants the beginning of new life for herself beyond the world of politics.
Directed by Jim Webber (“The Philadelphia Story,” Community Players), “Dancing Among The Wildflowers” is taken from David John Preece’s trilogy “Last Gleamings.” Erik Peter Hodges (“Pirates of Penzance”, Community Players) is “Lyndon” and Ellen Burger (“Nunsense 2”, Community Players) is “Lady Bird”. Costumes are by Joan Vick. Stage Managers – Sally Kelly and Barbara Woodman.
