Laughta In New Hampsha’s production of “Comedy Cabaret: Rednecks to Rhinestones” premieres at the Hatbox Theatre for three days only on Friday, June 8 and Saturday June
9 at 7:30 PM, and Sunday June 10 at 2:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.hatboxnh.com or by calling 603-715-2315.
What’s this show about y’all ask? Well, audiences will feel as though they are a part of this hilarious musical comedy cabaret as they are transported to Blueballs Alabama and thrust into the town’s two infamous local bars: Miss Dolly Monroe’s down-home redneck bar, and Miss Scarlet Mae’s uppity rhinestone bar. Each bar features its own unique (and often rowdy) town characters who sing, dance, tell jokes, fall in and out of love (or lust), and aren’t afraid of offending each other or their guests. Will the tension between these competing lady bar owners ever be resolved? And will the town continue to be divided by the loyalty of two very different class of characters? Y’all will just have to get tickets to this show to find out. (Note: this production includes adult humor!)
