Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30, Sundays at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $17, $14 for members, seniors and students, $12 for senior members. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at www.hatboxnh.com or by calling 603-715-2315.

Ma Mu Productions and the Hatbox Theatre present the Tony-Award winning musical "1776," opening July 6 and playing through July 15.

Audience members will join John Adams, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and the rest of the Second Continental Congress, as they debate and discuss the Declaration of Independence.

"I'm a huge fan of the immersive theatrical experience," says producer/director Marc Murai, "the concept is for the audience to become members of Congress themselves."

Lin Manuel Miranda, creator of the blockbuster musical Hamilton, credits "1776" as being the inspiration for his hit show. With music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards and book by Peter Stone this most patriotic musical invites audience members to be a part of history.

Hatbox Theatre is a live performance arts space with a mission to create a cooperative community to develop unique, intimate experiences for both audiences and artists.
