The Music Hall to Launch 25th Anniversary Kitchen Tour

What better way to spend Mother's Day weekend than attending the 25th Anniversary Kitchen Tour, as it returns to downtown Portsmouth. From refurbished retro to high-style urban, see dream kitchens in a dream location. This walking tour of hand selected homes in the heart of Portsmouth will showcase charmingly revived historic homes, while also welcoming the new generation of dwellings- newly renovated luxury townhouses & co-ops with stunning views and amenities. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this benefit for The Music Hall will feature the kitchens and dining spaces we all dream of. The tour will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 10am to 4pm.

And people can easily make it a day to play in downtown Portsmouth, have lunch, shop the boutiques, and stop into The Music Hall's Historic Theater to check out the "coolest" bathrooms on the Seacoast! On the Tour - local artisans available to talk

For visitors looking to turn their own dreams into reality, the artisans, designers and architects involved in designing the featured kitchens are noted in the tour's guidebook along with detailed descriptions. Many of the artisans will be present in homes on the day of the tour and are available to speak with guests throughout the day. .

To start your tour - buy tickets early + map features local restaurants

It's best to buy your tickets early, as there is a discount on all tickets purchased before the day of the Tour. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at The Music Hall Box Office or online at TheMusicHall.org. Tour-goers are given an easy-to-follow map and a guidebook with detailed descriptions of the kitchens as well as information on all of the artisans, designers, and architects responsible for layout and design. Maps are available to pick up at the Box Office starting April 25th as well as available on The Music Hall website. Tour-goers can check their maps to identify some great area restaurants downtown to grab a bite for lunch in downtown Portsmouth.

About the Kitchen Tour

1,200 visitors attend The Music Hall's Kitchen Tour each year to get a peek inside the contemporary or traditional homes of a historic Seacoast town, and to gain ideas for their own kitchens. Proceeds from the popular tour - now in its 25th year - are used toward operating costs to support The Music Hall. The tour highlights the work of local companies including architects, builders, carpenters, and lighting, landscape and sound designers. In addition, local retail shops and restaurants support the tour through ticket sales and special promotions.

Kitchen Tour tickets are $25 for Music Hall members, $27 for non-members, and $30 if purchased the day of the event. Day of tickets may be purchased at The Music Hall Box Office starting at 9am.
