Singer/songwriter Josh Ritter will be appearing at the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA) in Concord, New Hampshire on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 7:30PM. Tickets are currently on sale starting at just $26 per seat. To date, this is his only schedule U.S. appearance this year without his band, which will make it a very special event.
Mr. Ritter's performance supports his latest album Sermon On The Rocks. The album was named one of PopMatters' "80 Best Albums of 2015" with NPR Music including the song "Getting Ready To Get Down" in their "Favorite Songs Of 2015" list, and Paste Magazine naming "Birds of the Meadow" in their "50 Best Songs of 2015" list. The New York Times asserts, "Harking back to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and maybe a little Mark Knopfler, Mr. Ritter has always been a slinger of serious ideas and high-flown imagery," while The Wall Street Journal declares, "The new album's music is airy, propulsive and more often than not, catchy." NPR Music's Stephen Thompson raves, "...it's an approach that brings out some of Ritter's slipperiest, nimblest wordplay...and a few genuine head-turners...."
Tickets for the June 19 show may be ordered by calling the Capitol Center for the Arts at (603) 225-1111 or online at www.ccanh.com. Tickets may also obtained at the Center's box office at 44 South Main St., Concord, NH, which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11AM to 6PM.
