Seacoast Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce its PAPA Camp 2010 take place at Camp Birch Hill in New Durham, NH from August 16 - 27th. Celebrating its 22nd summer, PAPA Camp is a co-ed overnight performing arts camp open to youth ages 8 - 16. PAPA Camp provides opportunities for campers to pursue theatrical and artistic endeavors while also offering a vibrant assortment of outdoor camp activities. Creativity, collaboration and self-confidence and other positive life skills that PAPA Camp seeks to develop in each camper.

PAPA Camp is operated the Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, NH. With year-round (and continuously expanding) youth programming and professional mainstage productions, campers have the opportunity to make theatre and performance a year-round venture! PAPA Camp provides a safe, fun and supportive environment where campers can feel comfortable meeting new people, expressing themselves and trying new things. Campers unplug from video games, television, computers and cell phones and plug into fresh air, fresh water, friends, and fun. Full camp activities, theme days, electives and workshops promote a tight-knit and encouraging community for everyone at camp. Our fully trained and experienced Senior Staff, Counselors and CITs begin cultivating this PAPA Camp community as soon as the first campers arrive.

Our NEW facility, Camp Birch Hill provides a wealth of opportunities for attendees. Facilities include an indoor recreation hall, an on-site paintball course, a crystal clear lake with 2,000 feet of sandy shoreline, a climbing tower, an arts and crafts pavilion complete with pottery wheels, a dance/yoga studio, four tennis courts, fields for any sport, basketball courts, a street hockey arena, beach volleyball, ping pong tables, golf driving range and more.

A key driver in the selection of Camp Birch Hill as the new home for PAPA Camp is its convenient location located in New Durham, NH, just 55 minutes from downtown Portsmouth, NH. Campers live in cozy cabins with full electricity and convenient bathrooms with showers. Each camper gets a bed, a cubby for their clothes, and a locker in the back of the cabin for storage. Each cabin houses 6 - 10 campers with a CIT (Counselor In Training) and Counselor in each cabin. Camp Birch Hill also has a pristine and spacious performance space with large windows that open to the great outdoors. Hardwood floors and plenty of open space make this building perfect for the Dance Electives, PAPA Camp's Themed Dance and other indoor activities at camp! We are in the planning stages of expanding the size of the stage to meet the needs of PAPA Camp's Talent Shows. In addition to that Camp Birch Hill has a waterfront that is large enough for full camp and small group activities, Camp Birch Hill's waterfront is sure to be the hit of the summer! The sandy beach, crystal clear water, beach grill for barbeques, water trampoline, and fire pit make CBH's waterfront the perfect place for PAPA Campers to relax, cool off, and have fun in the sun.
