Seacoast Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that the award-winning Let's "B" Reel: Cult Classic Films at The Rep will screen The Neverending Story with very special guest star, the original Childlike Empress, Tami Stronach, December 10th, 2014 at 7:30pm. Tami will be on hand at The Rep for this very special screening, where she will conduct an onstage interview after the film, sign autographs, and partake in Let's "B" Reel's infamous pre-show.

"The Neverending Story is one of my all-time favorite fantasy films..." says Knate Higgins, The Rep's Special Series Curator. "We are beside ourselves to have Tami for our screening. This film has touched so many people hearts, and to have the star (of the film) with us on stage is a huge deal for our series. This will also mark our first female special guest, and it's about time..."

Stronach, (now a dance professor in NYC) has not been to a screening of Neverending Story in a very long time, choosing to focus on her family in the most recent years. This will mark her first time back with the film in quite some time, making this night extra special for the organizers and community. "We are honored that she chose not only Portsmouth, but The Rep as her place to stir up old memories..." says Higgins. .

The Neverending Story is considered one of the quintessential fantasy films of all time. The 1984 film follows Bastian (Barret Oliver) as he steals a priceless book (The Neverending Story) from a bookstore. Fleeing to the attic of his school to read his newly commandeered book, he soon finds the story coming to life before his very eyes. Bastian is transported into the world of Fantasia where he and a little Indian named Atreyu (Noah Hathaway); must save The Childlike Empress (Tami Stronach) from the impending threat of the The Nothing.

In true Lets "B" Reel fashion, a live pre-show before the film will set the tone of the evening. For this screening Neoteric Dance Collaborative will be presenting an original dance piece along with special guest Stronach, accompanied by a live band headed by Fife. "This screening means so much to us right now" says Timothy Fife, co-director of Let's "B" Reel. "With The Rep in such a state of transition, it's important for us to continue to do what we do best. We are encouraging everyone to come out and see this film, meet the star, and help keep The Rep's doors open.
