The Peterborough Players fifth play of the season is Garson Kanin's acclaimed comedy, BORN YESTERDAY. It debuts Wednesday, August 12th at 7:30pm.
A Broadway triumph, Born Yesterday is a deliciously witty screwball comedy. Millionaire junk-dealer Harry Brock goes to Washington to buy a Senator, and in the process hires a sophisticated writer to polish up his seemingly dim-witted girlfriend, Billie Dawn. The author, Garson Kanin, wrote the screenplay for many memorable films including the celebrated Spencer Tracy/Katherine Hepburn films: Adams Rib and Pat & Mike.
