RED Opens Peterborough Players' 2015 Season Tonight

The Peterborough Players 82nd annual summer theatre season will debut tonight, June 17th with John Logan's multi Tony Award winning play, RED.

The electrifying story about abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko will star Players' Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen as Rothko and Lucas Van Engen as his assistant, Ken. The production is directed by Players' Managing Director, Keith Stevens. The 2015 season roster includes seven main company productions and two Second Company productions for children.

The Jungle Book By Joseph Robinette based on Rudyard Kipling's The Mowgli Stories Directed by Kathy Manfre. June 20 - July 18. The opening show on Saturday, June 20th will feature a special discounted rate of $4 for all seats.

Pinocchio By Greg Banks, from the story by Carlo Collodi August 15 - 22

Professional actors scheduled for this season include the return of many favorites:

Bridget Beirne, Lisa Bostnar, Gordon Clapp, Tom Frey, Dan Hodge, Dale Hodges, Gus Kaikkonen, Jack Koenig, Kathy Manfre, Michael Page, Karen Peakes, Kraig Swartz, Lucas Van Engen, Steven Walters, and Beverly Ward.
