The River Street Theatre (RST) in Jaffrey, will be presenting the filmed adaptation of the award-winning play, Marjorie Prime this Friday, September 22 (7 pm) and Saturday, September 23 (2 pm & 7 pm).

Michael Almereyda's (The Experimenter, Hamlet, Nadja, The Eternal) spiritual sci-fi film, an adaptation of last year's Pulitzer prize-nominated play by JorDan Harrison, follows an aging violinist named Marjorie, who, at age 85, finds that her memory is failing her. She hires a service that provides holographic recreations of deceased loved ones as their survivors would like them remembered, so she can spend time with her daughter Tess and son-in-law Jon, and with an imperfect copy of her deceased husband, Walter, as he looked in his 30s and 40s.

Jon Hamm (Madmen), Geena Davis (Thelma & Louise), Tim Robbins (Shawshank Redemption) Lois Smith (originated role on Broadway) star in the film adaptation, which was shot on location in New York last fall.

Tickets for Marjorie Prime (Unrated) are $8.00 (seniors, military, students, teachers $7.00). More program and schedule information, as well as ticket purchases, can be found at riverst.org or by calling the RST Box Office (603) 532-8888. The after-hours box office can be reached by calling OvationTix at (866) 811-4111.

The River Street Theatre is located in downtown Jaffrey, New Hampshire at 6 River Street. The River Street Theatre is sponsored by Grove Street Fiduciary, Coca-Cola, the Board of Trustees of the Park Theatre, Janet S.
