In ancient Rome, Spartacus, a Thracian king, is turned captive by Crassus with his wife Phrygia. Forced to fight as a gladiator and kill one of his friends, Spartacus plots an unprecedented upheaval. Yury Grigorovich's SPARTACUS was created at the Bolshoi in 1968 and has since remained the Russian company's signature ballet. This most spectacular production is an epic tour de force, giving full expression to the virility and strength for which the Bolshoi's male dancers are renowned. SPARTACUS is presented this Sunday, March 13th at 1pm as part of the Peterborough Players' Arts on Screen series.

The Peterborough Players' Arts on Screen series is presented in stunning NEC high definition digital projection and incomparable Dolby Surround Sound.

Bolshoi Ballet tickets for SPARTACUS are $20 each. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 603-924-7585 or online at PlayersTix.com. Ticket price for children and students (current ID required) are $15. The Players accepts MasterCard, Visa or American Express.
