North Country Center for the Arts Papermill Theatre will begin its 2011 Children's Theatre season with the performance of The Frog Prince the week of June 27-July 2. Performances occur on Tuesdays at 11am and 2:30pm. Throughout the summer, five professional adult actors from the Papermill Children's Theatre Company perform original musical adaptations of popular fairy and folk tales in seven communities throughout New Hampshire, including Concord. The shows appeal to adults and children ages 3 and up and run 30 minutes. Each performance concludes with a cast meet and greet and autograph signing.
The 2011 Papermill Children's Theatre season will include performances of The Frog Prince (Tuesday, June 28), Secret Garden (Tuesday, July 5), The Ugly Duckling (Tuesday July 12), The Princess And The Pea (Tuesday, July 19), Arabian Nights (Tuesday, July 26), Beauty And The Beast (Tuesday, August 2), The Pied Piper (Tuesday, August 9)and Cinderella (Tuesday, August 16). In their first week, the Papermill Children's Theatre Company will perform The Frog Prince, depicting a princess on a quest to find her true love who befriends a frog. The kiss of the princess transforms the frog into her real prince.
