The new River Street Theatre in Jaffrey, a project of The Park Theatre, will present the A Night of Comedy at Mount Monadnock with three award-winning comedians on the evening of January 23rd.
Comedian Greg Boggis will host the evening and perform. Greg Boggis is a New England based stand-up comic, actor, print model, writer, frequent contributor to the Atlas Obscura and comedy show producer with almost twenty years of experience in the entertainment business. Greg has appeared with Dane Cook, Lenny Clarke, Bob Marley, J.J. Walker, and Steve Sweeney among many others. He has performed at: The Balsams Resort, Bananas Comedy, The Comedy Connection, The Comedy Works, Comix at Foxwoods, The Comedy Studio, The Comedy Zone, Dick Doherty Comedy Clubs, Headliners Comedy Clubs, Kowloon Komedy, Laughs On Us Comedy, Mad Marks, Nick's Comedy Stop, Scamps Comedy, and many more.
He will be joined by Bill Campbell and Mike Holmes. Bill is a 35-year veteran stand-up comedian who has done it all... from Comedy Clubs to casinos to cruise ships to comedy fundraisers. He has opened for 100+ top performers such as Bill Maher, Denis Leary, Stephen Wright, and James Taylor as well as being featured on A & E, "Comedy on the Road" and "Evening at the Improv". He hosts his own cable show "Campbell's Comedy Corner" and has developed an acclaimed 90 minute one-man show "A Parenting Story" that articulates the joys and heartaches experienced in raising his 3 children.
Mike Holmes' warm and silly personality is often an unexpected and funny contrast to his burly appearance. Mike's off-center style and work ethic have helped him stand out as a newcomer, and having a sweet-ass beard doesn't hurt either. "Comedians today have it so easy. When I started, we couldn't have beards. Mike Holmes, he goes fishing with that thing." - Andy Kindler. Since starting standup in 2012, Mike has become a regular at Comix in Mohegan Sun Casino.
There is only one show on Monday, January 23rd at 7:30pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance. All tickets are $10. Due to the intimate size of the River Street Theatre, it is highly recommended you purchase tickets in advance. Call the Box Office at 603-532-8888 or go to www.theparktheatre.org to purchase tickets with any major credit card. Note: performance may contain mature subject matter.
The RST is located at 6 River Street in downtown Jaffrey. Concessions (popcorn, candy, soft drinks, coffee/tea) are sold in the theatre. Public parking is available on Main Street and behind TD Bank.
The River Street Theatre is sponsored by: Grove Street Fiduciary, Coca-Cola, the Board of Trustees of the Park Theatre, Janet S. Grant, Betty Locke, Owen Houghton and the James & Fernande Kelly Charitable Trust. The Park Theatre is seeking additional sponsors for the RST.
