New World Theatre will present six new works at the Hatbox Theatre this season as part of their ongoing play development program. These productions will either be a staged reading or a workshop scriptinhand performance? presented with minimal staging, costumes, and props.

ABOUT THE PLAY: Kicking off the series is Places You Go , a new play by New Hampshire playwright, William Ivers. The work chronicles the story of Maddy Weare, a promising young musician who is destined to attend Juilliard. In the spring of her senior year she is involved in a serious car accident, and while the incident did not render her physically incapable of pursuing her goals, her future dreams do become much less certain.
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT: William Ivers is s a teacher and writer whose work has been featured in various publications. He won the prestigious Northeastern Playwriting Competition with his original oneact play, An Unexamined Life. William is a member of NWT's Playwrights' Collective.
