Now celebrating its 19th year, the NHTP Youth Repertory Company is an auditioned company which offers intense acting training, master classes with guest artists, and the opportunity to perform in a variety of productions drawn from classical theatre, literature, and traditional period styles. Students ages 10-17 come from all over the tri-state area to participate. Says graduate Corrie Owens-Beauchesne: NHTP is a haven where kindness and compassion are central and everyone's voices are heard and celebrated. This has given me confidence on stage as well as in life. (The NHTP Youth Repertory Company) is an incredible, tight-knit yet welcoming community that sponsors both individual growth and ensemble experiences. And I will really miss it a lot.
Audition opportunities for the 2017-18 NHTP Youth Repertory Company will be announced in June. Along with studying classical acting, next season will include additional training opportunities in playwriting, technical and design. For more information, please go to www.nhtheatreproject.org.
