The Park Theatre announced today that Atlas PyroVision Entertainment Group has collaborated with the theatre to present the new documentary film Passfire as a fundraiser for The Park Theatre's new performing arts center project. The film will be shown on Saturday, February 18th at 1p.m at the Jaffrey Woman's Club in downtown Jaffrey.
The 111 minute documentary film is about fireworks culture around the globe. Venturing from the most well-known pyrotechnic centers, to remote enclaves where the cultural traditions of unique fireworks have lasted generations, the highly anticipated Passfire is the world's first definitive documentary on fireworks. The film travels to twenty-three countries on six continents to experience the planet's most amazing fireworks and celebrate with the people that make them. Learn why we love fireworks, and how the world is connected by their light, color, and sound. Follow the passion for fireworks as it's passed from culture to culture, country to country, and generation to generation. The film is directed by Jesse Veverka.
Passfire's presentation will be hosted by Stephen Pelkey, CEO and Artistic Director of Atlas PyroVision Entertainment Group. There will also be a dessert reception preceding the film. Tickets for the event are $15.00 each. They can be purchased by calling the Park Theatre box office at (603) 532-8888 or by going online to www.theparktheatre.org. All major credit cards are accepted.
The Jaffrey Woman's Club is located at 33 Main Street in Jaffrey, NH. Jaffrey is only 78 miles from downtown Boston.
