The Palace Theatre presents Monty Python's SPAMALOT, part of The Citizens Bank Performing Arts Series, opening Friday Nov 1st at 7:30 PM through Nov 16th. With 14 Tony Award nominations, MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT tells the legendary story of King Arthur and his Knight of the Round Table as they set out on their quest to find the Holy Grail. Lovingly ripped off from the motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail, stalwart Eric Idle and composer John Du Prez adapt the classic film while adding swipes at Vegas glitz and Broadway conventions to the film's anarchic spirit. MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT "raises silliness to an artform!" (The Sunday Times).
"Our production features a very talented cast which is so important for a show like Spamalot. Being an actor in a comedy demands that you work with the audience, the timing is crucial, so we went out and got the very best talent available," said Carl Rajotte, Palace Theatre Artistic Director.
The cast features a few notable returnees the Palace Theatre Stage. Kyle Szen (Bedevere), originally from Derry, is proud to be back at the Palace after playing Roger in RENT! Isaak Olson (Lancelot) is stoked to return to The Palace Theatre! Previous Palace credits include: A Christmas Carol (Fred) and Trailer Park (Duke). Jenna Kantor (Lady of the Lake) has appeared in several Palace Theatre Productions most recently in Grease (Betty Rizzo). New comers Cody Ryan (Prince Herbert) and Chad McCallon (Galahad) are sure to have the audiences rolling in the isles.
