Writers in the Loft hosts Celeste Ng, whose New York Times bestseller, LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE, was named a "Best Book of 2017" by critics at NPR, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, People, and Entertainment Weekly. The tale unfolds in Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, OH, where everything is planned, from the layout of the winding roads to the colors of the houses to the successful lives its residents will lead.
Through the lens of Ng's deeply human cast of characters, the book examines the uncomfortable truths we're all reckoning with in our various communities-issues of privilege and identity, of the right to motherhood, of ideals versus action. The hour-long event includes a Q+A moderated by #1 New York Times bestselling author Joe Hill, who was recently featured in The Music Hall's Writers in the Loft series with his newest book, STRANGE WEATHER: Four Short Novels. After the formal program, both authors will greet event-goers, fans, and readers in the Lobby and sign books as requested.
Tickets: The ticket package for Writers in the Loft: Celeste Ng in conversation with Joe Hill on Thursday, June 7, at 7pm is $41 ($39 for members). In addition to a reserved seat, the package includes a copy of LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE ($27 hardcover), a bar beverage, Q+A, and book signing meet-and-greet.
