Jennifer (Cardin) Solomon will be teaching Beginning Musical Theater for ages 7-10 on Thursdays, 3:30-4:30pm. In this fun and exciting class, students will be introduced to various theatre games and performing on all levels. They will learn valuable acting techniques and have the opportunity to do a lot of singing and dancing as well! They will also be learning a mini musical that they will perform in a recital at the end of the year in May, on the beautiful Leddy stage.
Ms. Solomon will be teaching Advanced Musical Theater for ages 8 and up, on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm. If you have taken one of Miss Jen’s classes before or have prior performance experience, this is the class for you! Students will do a lot of the performing and theatre games that they have learned in previous classes but move at a much faster pace. There is a lot more to prepare at home such as songs, monologues, and character studies. The students will perform in a mini musical on the Leddy Center stage at the end of the year in May. Permission is required by Miss Jen to enroll in this class.
Melissa Ransdell will be teaching Let’s Get Acting for ages 10 and up, on Mondays from 4:30 to 5:30pm. In this fun class the focus is on acting with a smattering of musical theatre thrown in for those who like to sing and dance, but are more at a beginning level. If you do not like to sing, you will NOT have to. You will learn lots of acting games and techniques and learn about character development, role playing, scene study, skits, and improvisation. Students in this class will also learn a play that they will perform on the Leddy Center stage in a recital at the end of the year in May. If you ever wanted to learn how to act and perform on stage, this is the class for you.
Ms. Ransdell will also be teaching Mini-Musical Theatre for ages 5 & 6, on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:20. This is a fun class with lots of make-believe and singing and dancing for the little ones culminating with an on stage performance in May.
