Executive Director, Elaine Gatchell, is proud to announce two new faculty members to Leddy Center School for the Performing Arts this fall!

Joining Nick Pothier, teacher of piano at Leddy School, and Melissa Ransdell, teacher of musical theater at Leddy School, will be Tim McGowan, teacher of voice and Travis Shelby, teacher of guitar.

Tim McGowan, is pursuing a Master's Degree at Boston University and recently finished his first season as an artist-in residence at the prestigious Seagle Music Colony where he played Marcellus in "The Music Man" and Jack in the touring cast of "Jack and the Beanstalk". He is an award-winning tenor who finds familiarity with the stage specializing in musical theatre and operatic repertoire. Tim has performed as Joseph in Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", Phantom in "Phantom of the Opera", Cinderella's Prince in "Cinderella", Adam in "Children of Eden", Nathan Detroit in "Guys and Dolls", and a number of operatic endeavors all around the United States. Notably, his former students have earned college scholarships for distinguished excellence and have been recognized with leading roles at the collegiate level.

Travis Shelby has been playing music for 15 years and is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, he was able to study with great musicians such as Richie Hart and Dave Newsam. Since graduating in 2011, Travis has been teaching steadily and performing all over locally. Travis has taught at Rivier University, the Manchester school district and now, is happy to be joining the prestigious faculty at Leddy Center. Travis loves being able to show his students the skills they need to play the music they want to learn.
